reflections
I’ve been thinking a lot about how behavior
is information.
Not excuses.
Not intentions.
Not promises.
Information.
For a long time, I believed words deserved more time.
More grace.
More benefit of the doubt.
Now I think actions are simply more honest.
Words tell us who someone hopes to be.
Behavior tells us who they are today.
Neither is inherently wrong.
But only one can be trusted when you’re deciding where to build your life.
Maybe that’s what growth has looked like for me.
Not becoming less hopeful.
Just becoming more observant.
I’ve stopped trying to reconcile contradictions that never belonged to me.
Peace arrived the moment I accepted that consistency isn’t something you convince another person to offer.
It’s something you choose to require.
