prayers from the water
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me
that not every lesson
has to be learned in the storm.
Sometimes,
You teach through stillness.
Through the rhythm of waves
that never hurry.
Through quiet paths
wrapped in forests
untouched by noise.
Through the evening chorus
of crickets and tree frogs,
singing as if they know
Your faithfulness by heart.
Thank You
for painting the sky twice each day
once to awaken hope,
and again to remind us
that endings can be beautiful too.
Thank You
for the gift of rest
without guilt.
For space to breathe deeply.
To recalibrate.
To refocus.
To reset.
Thank You
for meeting me
where the water kisses the shore,
where my thoughts grow quiet,
and my soul remembers
that peace was never something
I had to chase
only something
I had to be still enough
to receive.
Amen.
